They each spent years immersed in creativity - purchasing and management for craft retail...writing about trends for a creative trade magazine...business consulting with scrapbook stores, knitting shops, and bead boutiques...oh, and they even found time to get married and have two daughters! Randy and Karen knew what people wanted to make and what successful "mom and pop" shops around the country were selling. Karen was an avid scrapbooker and loved decorating their home for the holidays. Randy was long a fan of Yankee and Root candles and often admired the unique jewelry he'd spy in gift stores. Karen had also recently learned to knit. They heard their friends often say that they could never find the right items or personalized service in the various chain stores in Southern California. "Why not take all these great ideas and put them all under one roof?" they thought. And, like industrious bees, they set to work creating the buzz and building a unique creative destination.
